Nacho fries are back at Taco Bellas of Thursday, Sept. 28, according to a press release. The beloved menu item was first introduced in January 2018, and they have been retired and brought back on several occasions since then — garnering a massive following along the way.

While this nacho fry comeback is for a limited time (once again), there were talks of the menu item becoming a permanent in December 2022.

PEOPLE reported that during an investor event, Taco Bell CEO Mark King expressed the chain was considering the addition.

“People that go to lunch want to have French fries. We know that,” King said during the event. “We’re looking at and testing bringing fries permanently on to the menu, which would increase our lunch business dramatically.”
