Director Spike Lee released his first feature film filmShe’sGottaHave It , in the summertime of 1986 . In honor of the movie ’s thirtieth anniversary , Lee and notebook manufacturer Moleskine have collaborate on a run oflimited - edition notebook .
Made in pink to reward Lee ’s female parent , Jacquelyn ( it was her favored color ) , the front covering fire of the 240 - Sir Frederick Handley Page notebook boast a silk - screened image of actress Tracy Camilla Johns as the character reference Nola Darling , while the inside covers feature photo montage of scenes from the motion picture , plaster cast and gang credits , and a list of Lee ’s other " joints . " Each of the 3000 notebooks is severally numbered and comes with a set of themed stickers and a newspaper publisher bookmark .
For the release of the notebook , Lee will be retain a book of account sign language at the Moleskine Store in New York City ’s SoHo neighborhood on July 30 . Fans are invited toregister for the upshot onlineso that they can buy the notebook computer and fit the Oscar - nominated director . Lee will be on hand foranother signingat the Barnes & Noble in New York City ’s Union Square on August 4 .
