Ben and Ella are Travolta’s children from his marriage to his wifeKelly Preston, who died from breast cancer in 2020. Travolta has previously opened up about his grieving process.
“I learned that mourning someone, living in grief, is very personal,” he toldEsquireMexicoin 2021. “Grief is personal and finding your own path is what could lead to healing. It’s different than someone else’s journey.” The couple also had a son, Jett,who died in 2009at age 16.Travolta has talked about Ella and Ben’s lives in recent years. When speaking about Ella, Travolta shared, “She is her own person. She is gracious, generous, poised, graceful and gorgeous. I don’t know how she came to be, and I don’t take any credit other than just adoring her. And maybe that’s a valid contribution.”
Travolta is set to star in the upcoming movie musical and romantic comedyThat’s Amore!,alongsideKatherine Heigl. The film sees the two play an unlikely pair who meet. The film is “a real throwback” to the era of Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly, according toaVarietyinterviewwith director Nick Vallelonga.“John and Katherine are fantastic together, and during rehearsals they had so much chemistry,” he said.
