PEOPLE has confirmed that theQueen & Slimactress, 37, filed for divorce from theFatal Attractionactor, 45, in Los Angeles Superior Court after more than three years of marriage.

Jackson and Turner-Smith tied the knot in late 2019 andwelcomed their first child, adaughter, in April 2020. Turner-Smith has requested 50/50 shared custody in her filing, a source confirms to PEOPLE.
PEOPLE has reached to representatives for both Turner-Smith and Jackson.

Turner-Smith previously revealed that she was a fan of Jackson’s from hisDawson’s Creekdays, and that they met for the first time atUsher’s 40th birthday party in 2018.
“When I first met my husband, we had a one-night stand,” the actressrevealed onLate Night with Seth Meyersin 2021. “We’re in a two, three-year one-night stand now.”
In August 2019, Jackson and Turner-Smith sparked rumors of an imminent wedding when theyappeared to pick up a marriage licensein Beverly Hills, California.PEOPLE later confirmedthat the pair tied the knot in December 2019.

Jackson and Turner-Smith recently spent time together for her 37th birthday, stepping out in September for a celebration in New York City. They also recentlystepped out together for a J. Crew event, walking the red carpet duringNew York Fashion Week.
This past May, Jackson toldWatch What Happens LivehostAndy Cohenthat he knew Turner-Smith was “the one” when she “walked into the room looking like that.”
“I had never been with anyone who I thought was wanting to lift me up the way that I felt that he was lifting me up,” she revealed at the time. “That is one of my favorite things about him.”
