Every goodJersey Shorefan knowsVinny Guadagninohas been a frequent visitor in the smush room, but now the star is opening up about the total number of women he has slept with.
While appearing on the “Boomer and Gio” radio talk show Tuesday, Guadagnino, 31, was asked about how many women he has hooked up with, in part due to his time onJersey Shoreand his new dating competition showDouble Shot at Love with DJ Pauly D & Vinny.
Though Guadagnino was unable to confirm the exact number, he was confident that it was more than 100, noting that the total was “probably” over 500 and “could be” over 1,000.
“I feel disgusting right now,” hejoked to the hosts. “It’s been ten years, I’ve had a good time!”

“That’s a question that guys ask girls. Girls don’t ask guys that question,” he explained. “I’ve never been judged on that… but it’s up there.”
As he gets older, Guadagnino said he’s becoming more selective about the women he sleeps with.
“I’ve slowed it down a lot,” he explained. “Like now, I’m going back to my room. I want to watch Netflix. I want to just chill. I don’t want to be in bed with somebody if I don’t want to wake up to them the next day and like talk to them.”
“I’m all about what I naturally feel,” he said, adding, “I’ve naturally taken that progression of slowing down, but I’ll admit I’m never going to follow the rules of like, ‘Now I’m at this age, I have to be in a relationship.'”

The series features 20 contestants facing off against one another in the hopes of winning either man’s heart, but the ladies hold the ultimate power to decide whose love they’re competing for between the two pals.

Sitting down with PEOPLE recently, Guadagnino opened up about the complicated love experience and how hooking up — an almost nightly occurrence onJersey Shore— was far less frequent on the new series.
“It was weird for two reasons,” Guadagnino explained. “One, it would cause drama, so of course people would be upset and jealous. Then there was this other weird part where you would hook up or kiss [someone], and those girls were all friends with each other! It got really weird. Like, are you guys buddy buddy after that?”

As he searches for that special someone, the reality star said he wants a girl who can complement all aspects of his personality.
“I am a very complex person — there are elements to me that are nerdy, then there are elements to me that are ratchet,” he said. “So I like someone that has all that balance, someone that I can binge-watch some nerdy documentaries with, but then knows how to dance and twerk in the club.”
“I also want someone who’s independent, who isn’t in it for the wrong reasons,” he added. “She has to have so much of her own career going on, she doesn’t need me for anything. I want to beherfan.”
