Once again this week Heroes picked up steam by concenter in on one central fight that has tug all our characters back into each others ’ orbits . It ’s clean-cut now that this time of year will be about family drama , featuring the duel children of the Petrelli clan and the dueling corporations of its elders . More importantly , this workweek ’s sequence , “ Eros Quod Sum , ” catch back to the funny book themes that inspired this show in the first position . You know , time - tested themes like hero queerness and weird daddy issues . Spoilers forwards ! allow ’s start with the aphrodisiacal stuff , shall we ? Electrical Elle hail back this week , with her superpowers all messed up . She ca n’t terminate shooting electrical energy everywhere , and her high - voltage capture are preventing her from eating and sleeping , so she shows up at unbreakable Claire ’s house looking for assist from daddy HRG . Of naturally , he ’s off doing something for Primatech so instead Claire and Elle have a fight ( with hair - pulling ! ) . And then they bond over the fact that their powers are going haywire — Claire can no longer experience pain , and of course Elle ca n’t feel anything but painfulness . Without notifying HRG or Primatech , the two decide to pilfer off to natter Pinehearst , the biotech company at the center of this season ’s uncanny conspiracy . They ’ve both gotten Pinehearst cards from speedy Daphne , whom you ’ll withdraw is being coerced by Papa Arthur Petrelli into doing his dirty work . And that piece of work is about to get a lot dirtier .
But not nearly as dirty as what happens when Elle and Claire get on a planer for Pinehearst . When Elle starts going zappy with stress , the sheet begins hurtling into oblivion . The only way of life to save themselves and a bunch of motion - sick passengers ? Claire take Elle ’s hand and absorbs all the crackly energy that Elle can dash out . Oh yeah , there ’s sparks between our two babes and it ’s just a giant formal of homoerotic desperate hand - retention . Thank you , Heroes , for remind us why we got into comic book stories in the first place .
And because last dark ’s episode was all about bringing things together , our lesbotic interlude in reality lead fairly much seamlessly into the other major plot point . The Petrelli Family drama . So Mama Angela Petrelli controls superpowered agency Primatech ( even though she ’s still in a comatoseness ) , and Papa Arthur Petrelli is the mystery man behind Pinehearst . Both of them have heroes and baddie working for them , and both are seek to change the futurity . The doubt is , who is less evil ? Given that Arthur at random obliterate Papa Parkman in decree to force Daphne to down Matt , I ’m thinking that he ’s at least more vicious right now . Not that Angela has n’t been just as evil in the past . So Daphne toddles off to stamp out mind - controlling Matt , who is still all “ we are meant to descend in passion because I had a visual sensation in Africa . ” And Arthur has drained his Word Peter ’s powers . Oh and also ? Spidey Suresh is now grooving on iniquity so much that he ’s decided to work with Pinehearst too , on The Formula which could give all of us major power or just flashback to The 4400 ’s promycin . There ’s a great scene where formerly - malign Sylar gets rebooted from his coma by make a visual sensation of mommy Angela , then come to Pinehearst to salvage Peter . Asskickery and ( actual ) bromance ! But then somehow Suresh catch Sylar , and Papa hangs him in the air and does a number on his head about how Angela is malefic and a bad ma just because she tried to drown him when he was an infant . So Sylar decides to go work for daddy now — but is he REALLY working for pop ? After all , when he shoots Peter out an eighth - floor windowpane to impress pops , he uses his force to let no - farsighted - super Peter down softly enough that he ’s wound rather than beat . Luckily , Claire is on her elbow room into Pinehearst and is able-bodied to grab her uncle and flee . But Elle settle to head into Pinehearst anyway , hoping that Arthur will drain her of her electro - shockery forever . I estimate that means no more girl - on - girl for a while , but I can stargaze ca n’t I ?
So the Petrellis are come together , with Nathan and Claire and Peter having a schmoose about what to do with mama and dad . And Sylar ’s loyalties are up in the strain . Meanwhile , Hiro and Ando are eating the trip library paste in Africa . I weep for this horrid subplot , and endeavor to focus on how great Hiro once was . Maybe if he could picture out a mystic biological joining to the Petrellis he could go badass and fun once again . Because right now , kids , it ’s all Petrelli all the time on Heroes . And I ’m liking it .
