While Lucifer did kind of set down off in the third ( and now final ) season , we continue to be big fans of The Exorcist , which io9 reviewer Cheryl Eddy called “ the best revulsion show on TV . ” That show ’s been canceled after just two season , which is unfortunate as it was really beginning to make its stride . In a statement on Twitter , showrunner Jeremy Slater ( who ’s working on Netflix’supcoming Umbrella Academy ) said he ’s upset by the news but understands why Fox cancel the show due to low ratings .
I live it ’s sluttish to get angry at Fox , but the reality is that we were the lowest - rated drama on any web and they still brought us back for a second season , because they eff the show . There are no bad guy cable in this scenario .

We ’re still waiting to see what take place with Gotham , which has uphold to reportlow consultation number .
