Boeing ’s had a rough go of it lately : After two crashes of its 737 Max jetliner in 2018 and 2019 result in a cumulative 346 deaths , the intact strain was grounded for months and subsequent probe prove the manufacturerrushed outthe craftwithshoddy softwareand withoutsufficient oversightfromindustry - favorable regulators . Now the Federal Aviation Administration ( FAA ) has order unrelated , but urgent , inspections of thousands of Boeing plane .
According to Reuters , the FAA train all operators of Boeing 737 series aircraft to bear out repeated review of cabin altitude pressure substitution , which assist ensure that planes remain properly pressurized during flight . The tests must be carry out within 2,000 flight hr of the last test of the switches , before 2,000 flight hours since the issue was ordered , or within 90 days , whichever get first .
