The Russian Progress ballistic capsule launched without incident last night , carrying three tons of solid food , fuel , and supply to the International Space Station . Less than a daytime afterthe unexpected Antares rocket explosion , it ’s reassuring to have a successful cargo run .

The Progress 57 condensation launch on a Russian Soyuz roquette out of Baikonur Cosmodrome , Kazakhstan on October 29 , 2014 , carrying freight and crew supplies to the International Space Station . The capsule will remained docked to the station for approximately six month .

While the astronaut have enough supply to last them until spring even if all subsequent cargo run had been disrupt , it feels adept to have a clean , predictable launching after the Antares disaster .
